Agnes, Ugandan, fashion and design teacher, 25, former refugee: I've learned a lot from refugees and I can really put myself in their shoes because I was once a refugee from an insurgency in northeastern Uganda called the LRA. I was one of the victims. So, really, seeing the Congolese, the Rwandese, the Burundians coming to Kampala reminds me of how I was once displaced (to Sudan), how once I was robbed. Now I am in the position to train them in fashion design. I see them like my brothers and sisters because I was once a refugee, too. They should be given the opportunity to go to school, to learn, to change their lives. When they finish they can go out and compete with the world, they can go out and do something for themselves and earn a living. Credit: @jrs_mercyinmotion 📷: @angelamariewells
